Boncoin.fr // nouveaux arrivages

Meuble Oscar // Didier Rozaffy
A friend of this blog (Olivier Franquet, Old Décors) just discovered name of Oscar furniture creator : Didier Rozaffy. Evidence above and below, from the National Institute of Industrial Property (Inpi.fr) archives. Six elements deposit in December 1955, late, since these pieces are patented in may 1949, edited and presented in February 1950. But this difference is not surprising because patent issue floating during the ten years following the war, and few furniture designers submit their works... By searching on the web, we find that the idea of protecting its elements follows some of the deposit of its model-leaf table. He patented the table and realizes that there is not its other elements! Seven licenses are currently listed on the Internet in the name of Didier Rozaffy between 1954 and 1963 (see directorypatent.com), all relating to Oscar furniture - we can deduce that in this part of his career mark and has expert knowledge of industry and its operation. We do not know any more for the moment ...

The latest issue of the magazine Maison française attaches to "vintage" and it's not a bad idea: the rich art collectors yielding their place to some young people dissatisfied with the present products and preferring the price, the strength, the side serviceable and aesthetic simplicity of "vintage". They claim as a "different future" than intended victims of consumption. They're "us". Maison française is thus addressed to us in an article tells her story. This one is dedicated to Oscar elements, old friends now on sale at Cube Rouge Antiques, where Jerome Godin re-composed, half a century, furniture bespoke with "vintage" elements.
